Three wonderful bits of news:

So, if your a web-designer that would be interested in helping our little non-profit startup, please contact Devin at : fotosforhumanity@gmail.com
second: we just closed on a lease for studio space in Art Egg Studios... so, soon we will have an office and a humble photography studio!
third:We are very close to finalizing our tax exemption status... so look out, because before too long Fotos For Humanity will be a legit 501c3 organization... . yippi!

New Project: Foto-Fundraising for New Orleans Culture
In the spirit of the "rent party" (a social occasion where tenants hired a musician or band to play and then proceeded to pass around the hat to raise money to pay their rent), Fotos For Humanity announces a new idea to use our volunteer photography to directly support the culture of New Orleans on a personal level.
Imagine hosting a photo-show in your home... we'll even bring a mardi gras indian and his beautiful suit- in addition to a mini-exhibit of our photographs from Mardi Gras and other events....
and the best part: 100% of proceeds will benefit the Mardi Gras Indian that comes over... to help him pay for the materials that will go into the suit for next year....
so... help create a unique social event for you and your friends.. and help raise support for our unique culture!

Langston Hughes Academy
Fotos For Humanity was happy to provide some photo-volunteerism for Langston Hughes Academy http://www.nola180.org/ . You can already see some of our fotos on the website. Helping support education in New Orleans!
"Our students absolutely loved having a photographer come in that allowed and encouraged them to be "themselves" and not force them to pose for the camera. FFH did a great job of capturing the zest and charisma of our students in a natural way. The generosity of Fotos for Humanity enabled us to have professional photos for our school's website and other print materials that will enable us to spread the mission of our organization and achievements of our students."
